We replaced the old porch lamps with ones from this place, Newport but the polished brass finish and the round globes -rejuvenation.com replaced the ceiling light in the foyer with Moreland, but again polished brass finish and rounded glass, looks like the photo of Madison - they are gorgeous and put out a lot of light. I am very pleased by the quality, and plan to replace all the fixtures with ones from this company. Absolutely super to deal with and you can order over the net.rejuvenation.com Got one of those fancy metal house numbers, the ones you have to order because they are cast or stamped or whatever in the factory with the house number and the street. Brass tone, black background. Looks very nice. Now I want to paint the shutters glossy black, but the ones on the ground floor level are nailed to the brick. Dark brown brick on the first level, first two levels in the back since we have the walkout basement in the back, white vinyl siding on the top level. Right now the shutters are the same color as the brick, and faded. Some other people in the neighborhood have glossy black shutters and it looks really spiffy. Chris says I have to paint the shutters. But he did put up the lights and then he got on a roll and bought some Halloween lights to put on the bushes and along the walk, shaped like pumpkins, they glow orange when lit. He got one set, then went back and got another, and he's going to get a third set. He really likes the way they look. I still think the house is going to look sort of doinky until we get a porch. This style of colonial is very popular around here, and I have always thought they looked doinky, but I saw one once with a farm-style porch and it really improved the looks. A lot. Chris doesn't want a full length porch because it will block the windows, so I am contemplaiting one that is two thirds length, from the door to one side of the house.
