Sure, John. So, you're expecting Intel to come up with a cool $2gig quarterly on their capital group? And if they come up short, the analysts are allowed to treat it the same as coming up short on regular income? Should make for a fun report this quarter.

John,

I personally don't care how Intel reports the gains of Intel Capital. I just have a feeling that the performance in Q2 was exceptional, and it may not be repeated if future quarters. Also, in the future, the portfolio may have unrealized gains but may not sell anything in a quarter. This introduces huge fluctuation into Intel's earnings.

I think Intel accountants should come up with some method to average the gains over a period of time to produce more predictable number from the Intel Capital division, and to reduce the spikes one way or another.

Joe
