Why don't we just ban collectives. Make them illegal and force people to associate with those who are not like them...

Force blacks to let whites into their gangs...

Force the Nation of Islam to let white christians hold offices in their organization..

Force the KKK to let blacks join...

Force the girl scouts to let boys join them... (and vice versa)

Force NOW to permit pro-life conservative women to join their group...

Force Al Gore to let Republicans hold office in his administration... (or vice versa).

And so on....

Collectives are part of the US social structure.. And just as republicans and democrats lash out at each other verbally, so do these other diverse groups.

For you to try and legislate people's attitudes toward collectives, especially if these people chose to group together, is just an impossible task.

If the Judges aren't properly applying the appropriate punishment to the crime, you have political recourse in electing those officials who will name the kinds of judges you desire.

And that has been exactly what many liberals have been doing... naming liberal judges who will pat the hand of the perpetrator, while ignoring the rights of the victim.

And as a whole, the republicans have ALWAYS, to my recollection, been out front on the victim's rights issue.
