Under-priviledged people are coming here for freedom and opportunity. Also because we are closer to Latin America and Asia. If poorer immigrants want services they go to Northern Europe instead. Rich people move to America from Europe to escape the higher taxes there. I have lived in Europe so I know. Case closed.

let me site you just two personal examples of what I consider "over-taxation".

1. I occasionally buy hamburger patties from Swanson's -- a gourmet food home-delivery service. The last time they came, I noticed a small sign declaring "We Accept Food Stamps". I talked to the driver about this. He told me he has had people pay for stuffed-lobster tails -- $27.00 lb -- with FOOD STAMPS.

2. I know a guy that does construction work -- makes great money 8 months out of the year. And when it gets too cold, he climbs in his Winnebago and heads to the beach down in Mexico for four months. Draws unemployment all time he is gone.

Now aren't these just FINE examples of my "tax dollars at work"?!!! -- me eating hamburger so some "under-privileged" dude can eat stuff-lobster tails. Or me freezing my butt off in Iowa during the winter while "Mr Unemployed" vacations on the sunny Baja Pennisula at my expense.

Until they wring excesses like this out of the system -- anything you've got to say about "taxes being fair" will continue to fall on deaf ears.
