<<Thus, God exists.>>

Does that say we can or can not take Him (Her?) public?(Or does that even matter?) We well know of the profit in most any religion.

Should someone here say "Good as gold"? :)

Rarebird, OT.

Rare, Anslem argument seems weak. It confuses the notion that understanding the definition of the word "infinite" with actual understanding of "infinite". The word infinite is just a way to say "not finite". Can't assume that the creation of the word equals understanding. When I say "teleportation" you understand what I mean, but that does not mean it exists.

Our understanding of finite does not come from an understanding of infinity, but from the recognition that there is usually some distance less finite or some amount of time less short. When Anslem said "we know ourselves as finite beings therefore a finite being exists" he was wasting his breath saying human beings were capable of imagining something or somebody capable of doing something that they are not currently capable of doing.

Darleen has already answered your question about manipulated. Besides, don't be dense - that is not the sense in which the word manipulated is used in markets. Let's see, would you argue that a monopoly can't manipulate a market?

Idiotic logic is more like it. It assumes that everything has an opposite and that we can deduce the opposite and that by knowing one side of the opposite that we prove that the the other side exists. Pure rubbish.

And as for word manipulation, give me a break. Yes everything that man can man does manipulate, but that has nothing to do with manipulation as it relates to markets. Market manipulation is defined by a set of rules that are overseen by a governing body (i.e. SEC). Buying and selling a stock certainly manipulates it, but this is deemed OK by the rules of the game and is generally not referred to as manipulation (aka manipulation outside the rules).

You and Clinton could have a blast splitting hairs over the meanings of words. Words have many meanings. Please try to take them in the context in which they are used.
