But when you have someone who is rude and obnoxious, you've got to stand your ground.

Just like when you were a kid and the bully started in on you. Any kid sees from example that you can't show a sign of weakness in the presence of a bully.

One sign of weakness, and he was all over you. But if you stood up to him and put him in his place, he never bothered with you because you weren't a weakling then.

Bully's pick weaklings, they never pick on someone their own size.

Bush missed a few opportunities to capitalize on Gore's ego, but he hesitated out of respect for the proceedings. Respect be da-ned, Bush should have taken off the gloves (figuratively).

And Jim Lehrer is a weakling. Gore walked all over him. Bush has been the perfect gentleman, and he should have insisted on another moderator after the first debate.

MKTBUZZ: I left the debate feeling like Bush wasn't on top of his game, but in the grand scheme of things, anyone who has already made up their mind probably wasn't watching anyway.

Furthermore, why the he-- should the future of America be somehow entwined with the votes of those who can't make up their frigging mind? I mean, it's only the undecided vote that Bush and Gore are after, and I think Bush's integrity will see him through to the Presidency.

So I realized that Bush was probably uncomfortable because he may have thought, "Geez, I have to appeal to the undecided. What can I say to make them vote for me?"

He should have just stuck to his platform, taken the opportunities to deflate Gore's ego when the opportunity was obvious, and stayed true to himself. He would have been more aggressive, I think, if he had just forgot about all the people watching and let his true colours show.

Those who are undecided don't have the guts to make a decision and stick with it. They are waiting for a magic message to be flashed across the screen that will help them decide. They have forgotten that the decision must come from WITHIN themselves, not from without.
