0/t gore did great? what channel were you watching? the gore i saw looked like he was trying to be a bully, at one point walking toward bush like he was trying to intimidate him, bottom line, there is just not enough people that like/trust gore, he is still a stock you can short!!

Nas futures down 1%. [EDIT 8:13AM ND00z down 2.5%] Europe trading down about 1%. SPOOz down about .88%. This will give us a hard gap down. When Pre-Market trading opens in a few minutes, it could pressure futures more.

This is like beating a dead horse.

The markets have dropped to the point where they should be able to absorb most anything. It is not as though we have ignored the warning reports and are surprised by poor earnings. We sold off dramatically ahead of earnings. So then why do we keep dropping?? Because the individual investors haven't cried "Uncle" yet.

This is going to sound ridiculous. . .but considering the complex scripts sponsored by the big brokerages, which sample message boards for market sentiment. . . I would think that the best thing we could do here to help our cause is to punch in a string of keywords into our posts.

In other words at some point during this post, I would write the words & phrases. . .

I give up. Selling out. Selling everything. Going cash. Never buying techs again. Buy my shares. Lost too much. Can't handle the stress. No longer trading."

The above is for demonstrational purposes only.

You are joking, right? About a week ago I posted
this here>

"90 percent of investors are still bullish, the other 10% are in denial"

A.S., I respectfully, but strongly disagree - The market will NOT "love it" if Gore wins, and the "prospect of the Bush presidency" is NOT bringing down the market. GET REAL!

OT > Spirit, you have to be kidding. Just what group on the Street would look forward to a Gore presidency? Would that be drug companies (oops - I mean the BIG drug companies), or BIG oil? Or perhaps it would be all the tech companies, as Gore of course is the reason they exist with the invention on the internet and all . . . Or perhaps MSFT favors Gore since they enjoy dealing with all his friends in the courtroom.

Oh yea, I forgot, perhaps small investors like Gore too - since he will keep that capital gains tax nice and high for all of us, and not provide real tax relief.

We know it can't be Big Hollywood nor the trial lawyers - they just give Gore all those contributions cause they like him, right.

Wait, I know - the Buddhist Investing Community is Bullish on Gore - since he has such a good time raising money in their temples.

Pleeeeeeeeease !!!

And as far as who did better in the debate yesterday, well I am sure that basically depends on who you favor. Personally, I found Gore to be an overbearing, condescending pompous _____.

My apologies to the thread for the political commentary - I was really trying to show great restraint and keep things on subject - but I also feel a need to balance things out when someone makes such political comments
