How do you know, you know an Atheist? Are you saying that you are relatively sure he is an Atheist? Your book of reason, is that relative reason or absolute? If absolute then kiss relativism goodbye. If relative then what is reasonable to you, cannot be imposed on anybody else can it? How did you reach your conclusion about this? Do you use reason to prove reason? Is this just taken on faith? How could you?
Round and round the philosophy bush
the relativist chased her reason.
Will have to be continued, have a nice day

Now X, are you referring to me when you say that atheists are just as silly as theists? My disbelief in god is not absolute, but is based on the lack of evidence for a god, and the immense amount of evidence to support evolution, an unguided Universe, and our being here purely by random chance events. I am willing to consider evidence for the existence of a god or gods, but have seen nothing but peoples' wishing that there was one.

There are no certainties, only probabilities. I believe, based on the empirical evidence, that it is highly probable that there is no god. What do you find silly about that? Is the disbelief in the existence of Zeus and other gods then also silly?

In my book (the book of probabilities), atheism is an entirely rational, reasoned out, belief. God is possible, but not probable. It is silly to have a belief unsupported by evidence, but not silly to not believe it.
