You may be right on inheritance tax. I meant estate tax. And without planning you are liable for estate tax on any assets over 1.3 million I believe this year on your own money with the death of a spouse. Jeff

I meant estate tax. Without planning you will owe estate tax on your own money if you have over 1.3 million in assets. Not that big of a number with houses doing what they have done and pension plans doing what they are doing. Jeff

Inheritance taxes are imposed by the state....and they are not collected at the 2nd death. They are collected at the 1st and 2nd death depending on the asset totals..... my lordy you are a dumb one aren't you...... what is it you do for a living ........drive cab......
