we'd be able to evaluate the claims of this form of analysis

dougsf30, rather than me doing all that why don't you spend some time looking at historical charts and form your own opinion.

What made these stocks come down is unrealistic valuations and a mania where the crooks on wall street monitized shareholder ignorance.

I can assure you that when I shorted AMD at 94 or that range I was pretty well certain that the time was right and it would go where I expected it to go.

Another case study is LU. Go look at LU thread around 3/5 and you will find where I shorted LU and why and the reaction I received from the thread. I explained what was happening and why. I did not do that here because certain people from THIS thread came to another thread and jumped my case big time. So I just did my thing and waited.

<If he can *repeatedly* make such forecasts *and* describe the model >

I would be happy if he can just *repeatedly* make such forecasts correctly.

What we know is that Monty was correct (it turns out this time) when he forecast the stock would reach 18.

No he wasn't, it went to 16 3/16.

Here's my technical analysis: from the 153 day moving average and the moon phase and the latest sunspot patterns, I think AMD will go to 24 soon.

When it gets to 24 can I get applause too?

Face it, there's so many ways to read what these "technical" analysts predict. They have the choice of intra-day prices, closing prices, after-hours prices, prices that only traded with high volume, top of gaps, bottom of gaps, middle of gaps, 250 day moving average, 90 day moving average, 241.635 day moving average, etc. etc. etc. to make almost whatever they say seem correct when the "event" happens.

JMHO.

Neil.
