Went down to the farm today but didn't see much color in the trees. Didn't see much of anything. We had rain Sunday and Monday and the past two morning have been so foggy they're froggy. 30 miles at 25 mph, I almost went nuttier.

Anyway the fog lifted around 10:30 and the foliage is grand. This will be the last week as a lot of leaves are falling. There's several burning bushes around and the reds are so pretty. Soon the only colors around will be on the political signs. There should be a law that whomever doesn't pick up all their signs after the election gets disqualified.

On the way back I was paying attention, and lucky I was, and barely missed 3 deer who were depressed and wanted me to run them down. With the harvest going and the rut starting, gotta watch for the deer.

Glad you got some rain. Looked like Rambi got a soaking. Still way short here, the drinkin' water lake is down 9 feet and the river they pump out of is dry. Lots of fires in the fields because the corn's so dry. Nothing like 300 acres of corn all cooking at the same time.

Take that sad song and remember it as a happy song. We need more happy songs.
