Your response overwhelms me. I don't know where to begin. Recently, I read that Sun had doubled its storage space in one of its servers so I figured Sun was serious about entering the storage market.

Solaris 8.. Believes is several years of anything in market... Java 2 micro division.. Ultra Sparc III

My husband uses Solaris and Ultra Sparc. Plus, he likes the new version of Star Office that he installed a few weeks ago.

And only last week he removed the Windows interface and installed a JAVA Interface on his Sun machine. Also, he installed JAVA on our home PC. Why? Researchers turn to JAVA, although I believe he will still use C to write code for computation.

Since prices have come down, he intends to buy Sun machine for home PC use. I wonder if I should call it a Sun PC since it will be our personal computer.

Cheers,

Mephisto

Trying to find the hidden pictures in the 7,000 to ~9-10,000 headcount growth update: Does anyone know, that ~10,000 number was for calendar year 00? Or FY01? When was the 7,000 number projected? Last quarter?? --- If it was last quarter, that headcount growth suggests somewhat more ambitious growth planning than the guidance... -JCJ

Dear roger: Thanks for the notes. I missed the CC and was looking around to see if anyone took any and posted them. Found yours. Sounds like it was a really good one. JDN
