In January 2000, I sold all the tech stocks I had bought in summer/fall 1998, went to 70% cash, and stayed there for 6 months. I posted this on the Market Direction thread (when I did it), with long explanations of why. As it turns out, I wasn't cautious enough. I'd have done better to just sit out the whole damn year.
