Louis Naviellier was on CNBC this am, and 25 minutes into the trading day he said the volume was not heavy enough for a bottom to be in; yet at day's end we had 1.4b on NY and 2.5b on Naz. What kind of volume should we be looking for? does anyone know how Panic Volume should look for the first half hour and full day? and finally, when we all see that volume come in, we buy like crazy, right?

I thought it was interesting that the SPX filled the Oct. 99 gap but the NAZ did not - guess the difference was that the NAZ was a breakaway gap. There's an awful lot of money and decent technicals supporting 3000. It's becoming awfully strong support.

I guess a gap down to 2900 would mean the S.S. Minnow had gone on one of those three-hour tours. ;-)
