>>>PT, Roller blades are fine for short distances, but the commute from the suburbs to downtown Houston, is from 15
to 20 miles. I want to watch you do that on roller blades.<<<

Should I give free blading lessons to SI members? (LOL) Like you, I'm too old to do tricks.

>>>There is no way you can stay away from using chemicals, and Bush had nothing to do with it. They are in our
clothes, food, medicines, and just about anything we use today. Do you remember the old GE slogan? "Better things for better living through chemistry." Bush wasn't even born yet, when that came out, so you can't blame him for chemicals.<<<

I didn't blame chemicals on Bush. However, I just don't think he's solidly there when it comes to cleaning 'em up. Republicans have historically resisted environmental measures--you think they've changed? I don't. No need to equate Bush with GE...he's already equated with Big Oil. After all, didn't his dad pass the baton?

>>>Bush has always been against pollution, and he never wasted millions of gallons of water just to float his canoe. I do recycle, and all of my Republican friends recycle. That is not a party issue, and you are a fool to try to make it one. It is a personal decision, and more people should opt to recycle.<<<

Your canoe analogy is like that of stepping on an ant or executing someone in Texas. Of Gore and Bush, who does what the most? Glad to note you recycle. However, how often did Republicans oppose recycling legislation before the matter became overwhelming? If you've been reading what I've been writing, you'd know my criticism is delivered to Republicans being either slow to the environmental table, or no-shows. Bush, included!

>>>There are a lot of factories, and mills in peoples back yards around here. Those that can afford it, like Bush and
thousands of others in Texas, move as far away from it as they can, but they had no say so in the zoning. They just
found a way to leave the area. That is why I do not, and will not, live in the urban area of any large city, and don't go anywhere inside the loop unless it is absolutely necessary. And FYI, the plants are not just in the minority areas, so the are not being picked on because they are minorities.<<<

Not In My BackYard (NIMBY) and varying other snob zoning restrictive (Republican maybe?) zoning regulations never have been all that helpful for an overall community. Has it?

>>>Bush has never said anything about anyone going without a coat, or wearing any particular kind. As for me, it would take a nuclear winter for me to get cold, and the ones most likely to cause that are the Democrats. ~H~<<<

You forgot, my friend, the sun shines behind the clouds. And, in this election, so a Democrat.
