Which I disagree with. PC are like cars in some respects.
1. Many families have more than one.
2. owner want to update/upgrade periodically.
3. Some people want the lastest, most expensive.

Just bought a new Dell P-III. Love its' new features.


The key word is "most" homes. You are unusual. I am at the other extreme. Other than a new monitor, we have not upgraded for 3 years, and I would sooner plunk money into faster bandwidth or a new handheld (if I could find one I really like).
