>>>I'm saying Bush much more than Gore abided by the rules of debate. Gore takes the attitude that what he has to say supercedes the rules. Arrogant and hardly demonstrates the traits of a skillful negotiator.<<<

Weren't you the one writing about "spin?" Seems like your comment above is classic spin coming from the camp which lost the debate. Why don't you pick on FoxNews for showing the candidates reactions in violation of the rules. And didn't your man also promulgate a rules lapse?

>>>I'm also saying that in spite of having myself and several other posters refute your claim C & G were responsible for the turn in the economy you continue to publish to the contrary. You simply turn a blind eye and continue merrily on your way.<<<

Are you denying in 1993 that Republicans were predicting doom and gloom against Democrat's economic policies? Me thinks if I got a blind eye, you got two of 'em!

>>>I'm saying you are an opportunist who chooses statements where you can twist them to suit yourself.<<<

I doubt I'm as powerful as you're making me out to be. However, I sure think that Bush is an opportunist for giving the American public only an impression about half of his adult life? Vote Bush for president--he's been a good man for half his life; we don't know about the rest. Get serious, Joseph!

>>>Here, twist this:

"I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not
what I meant."<<<

Interesting quote. But when it comes to understanding things, shouldn't you cite a reference regarding the origin to what you quote? Ever hear of context? And, yes, I think context is a problem for the Bush and his supporters. You're acting as if the Bush camp never attempted to twist Gore's remarks out of context, while ignoring their own faults.
