RDRAM prices continue lower. PC600 $165($1.29/MB), PC800 $186($1.45/MB)

PC600 now $165 or $1.29/MB
PC700 now $169 or $1.32/MB
PC800 now $186 or $1.45/MB

pricewatch.com

First page now at $195 and below.

Here is what to expect from the Pentium 4 and its 400MHz FSB with 3.2GB/s bandwidth

PC600/PC700 parts = 2.4GB/s
PC800 parts = 3.2GB/s (33.33% boost)

Great prices! The RDRAM prices are coming down much faster than even I expected (predicted). I also think that the dual channel P4 with PC600 memory and 2.4GB/s, will find a nice niche with those budget minded people who will be looking for a P4. They can pay less now and get a 33.33% boost down the road.

Here is the link to my predictions: Message 14445222

I predicted PC800 $1.97/MB, PC700 $1.63/MB, PC600= $1.34/MB, by Nov 30, 2000.

We are currently at PC600 $1.29/MB, PC700 $1.32/MB and PC800 $1.45. Already well below my prediction.

Hey Bilow, my prediction numbers have already been met and have been surpassed. Enjoy ;-)

PS. smsperling chart is wrong. He's supposed to be using pricewatch but he isn't. He is probably making the prices up. He is an AMDroid after all and just anti-Rambus. Look at the crap he posts to understand. He probably makes up the RDRAM prices on his own. Cause nothing can explain how prices have dropped from $299 to $165 at pricewatch and his have barely moved. His numbers are bogus. The real numbers above tell the real story.

Fo comparison, here are the PC133 SDRAM prices from Crucial. $135. A difference of 22% vs. PC600/700 and 37% vs. PC800.
