If your 2nd Amendment is so clear-cut.. why havent any of the tepid gun laws such as the Brady Bill been consitutionally challenged and overturned if its so slam dunk certain?

EP, good points: Not sure I agree with you on the framer's intent re: the 2nd amendment. I'll have a read, perhaps. I have some sympathy for the arguments about making interpretations concrete through amendment, rather than relying on a weaker 'body of jurisprudence' to arrive at conclusions, but the amendment process may have the bar set too high for this to be at all practical. I suppose that too could be amended... Regarding 2nd amendment, we already have set limits, then (military grade weapons not allowed, or whatever it is), so if that's okay, changing the limit should be fine, too. Doug
