I held the record for two years at my university for getting towed. Then I sold my car. Walked everywhere. It wasn't that bad actually until I blew my knee out. Books, crutches, campus on a hill where it rained a lot. Friends who thought it was very cool to take a crutch and walk away. They thought that joke was funny for about two months until one time I snapped and started swinging the remaining crutch around trying to break some heads.

Once they tow your car you can't retrieve it because they are set up not to find it. It's the black hole of the parking gulag. The parking authority can't get the car out of the hands of the operators which are franchised by the left wing elite supervisors. SF is very expensive because you need money to buy your way through the iron fisted control. The whole purpose of this nightmare regime is to do good to the poor people. The poor people are in on the take and glad about it. It's high time government served their needs. The rest don't mind any of this. They're making enough so they can pay whatever it takes to shut them up. It's a caring society and fair.
