As the election comes to a conclusion, more attention will be paid to the Electoral College, less to national percentage figures:

-- The National Journal has Gore ahead in the Electoral College, 263-227.

-- Hal Bruno of voter.com has it 205 Bush and 203 Gore.

-- Ed Goeas says the race is so close that whichever candidate wins three of these five states wins the election: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin.
