Me and Jesus think you ought to turn the other cheek.

Haq,

I didn't think that Shalom's post inferred that Christian's
should support mean spirited acts committed by other Christians either. It was just that as I read his post, I just wondered what his thoughts would be as to my question.

AS far as arguing over ritual and doctrine, Ithink it is silly that people of any similar faiths would EVER fight over that. I can't think of a bigger waste of time, but unfortunately it happens to people within all different religions. It is actually one of the reasons that I began, long ago, to believe that faith and spirtuality are to unique to each individual, to personal and to individually special to ever have any one organized religion be the blanket answer for an entire world. We each bring our own perspective and our own history into every belief we have.
A strict doctrine just can't be the same thing or mean the same thing to all of us, IMHO.
