To answer your question: No, I don't know of any legitimate reason that the merger wouldn't go through.

But, common sense dictates that a deal is not finished until it's finished. The investment communities usually assign a certain discount to accommodate the uncertainties.

I wish (as much as any other longs on this thread) that the merger would go through ASAP, as I have rather large stakes in both JDSU and SDLI.
