Thread: Has anyone noticed that these semi-equipment stocks keep getting downgraded and price targets reduced but the eps either remain the same or in some cases (i.e. NVLS) are going up? I'm looking at BRKS, CMOS, AMAT, NVLS, HELX, and brokerages have downgraded the hell out of them and drastically reduced their target prices but there have been no corresponding reductions of their eps going forward....I guess they'll do that when the cycle does in fact hit its peak... In the meantime these companies' feet are held to the fire and if (God forbid) they miss their "estimates" their stock prices will be devastated even more. Seems that these analysts don't have that much conviction in their "analysis".
