I like the trend. And the trend has Bush ahead and staying there although the numbers bounce around. JLA

All we do know is that it's still too close to call.

Well, you can think that if it makes you feel better, but there hasn't been a single poll in the last few weeks that has Gore ahead. On the other hand Bush's lead has gone as high as 11 points. Given the margin of error of most polls is about 4%, I would guess that Bush's actual lead is around 4-5% and the differences in the polls are normal variances of statistical sampling. 5% in two weeks is possible but I would put the odds no better than 1 in 8 for Gore.
