Shane I would never call Brinker an IDIOT, he is an extremely good trader. the point I was making is you have this person who expresses his views on why the NASD should not be above 2600 based on the Multiple compression of earnings. Every radio show for the last 5 months has stressed to get out of NASD stocks and into cash. Over the last 5 weeks he really seemed to go out of his way to warn about earnings falls. Then you hear he makes a trading call on the QQQ. His call was wrong! QQQ tanked from 82 monday to 75-76 wendsday. So in fact if you listened to Brinker's possible trade you were inflicted with PAIN last monday- wendsday!

What bothers me most is here is this guy who claims he moved the NASD last memorial day monday after he made his call for the QQQ. He now said he will not do that again because of his effect on the markets. So he made the call in his news letter, but wil not confirm or deny the call on his radio show. But to protect his followers who are holding the QQQ at probably 82 ( now at 86) he screens all negative commentary on NASD and the market in genera. He only talks about the election.

I find this behavior extremely suspect. Its my opinion Brinker did make the call that cost many followers to buy the qqq above 82. For someone who wants to stay away from effecting the markets he sure protects those who went long!!!

Mr. Brinker may have lost some of my respect after listening to his saturday show. But I have read in many circles that Brinker was shell shocked at his overall effect on the market after his late May call on the NASD rally. Perhaps that did goto his head. If we look at history of those who had effect on the markets it could be a sorry sign that indeed too many folks do no DD and would instead BLINDLY follow anothers advice. This has always been a sign of a top and if history is a lesson NASD 1900 may be sooner then many believe!

Good luck on your trading! For the record I have found the earnings extremely troubling, especially what these chip companies are sayng about future growth and inventories. I believe we may still bounce next week but 3500-3600 looks like a ROAD BLOCK. What happens after the optical stocks announce earnings? Yes GLW, JDSU, OPLK, AVNX, NUFO, ONIS, FNSR, STLW, CIEN, and others may boost their own stock but the question remains are these stocks overvalued? GLW, JDSU, and AVNX had nice moves last week but are they tapped out?? I sold all opticals alittle early last week because my model is telling me the 2 day bounce in the market was only short covering rally. If that is true 3200 is around the corner by friday in NASD and I definitely see 9600 in DOW within the next 2-4 weeks.

I believe the week of the election their will be a nice rally in the market, but the qustion is where will the index's be by that time??
