My impression is the same as yours.

I was very disappointed in how BB handled that first call regarding QQQ. He then took off into his political leanings, views without significant comment, analysis of the market's volatility and season.

It seems his new policy of giving buy/sell suggestions in his newsletter and not discussing the timely connected issues on the radio shuts down what listeners have valued over the years.

I'm very disappointed and I suspect many others are, too.

Indeed, is his program regressing to a three hour (x2) infomercial?

Gary, sometimes Bob has waited until the Sunday show to discuss the market. If there is non-market theme (such as the election) that Bob would like to discuss in addition to the market on a particular weekend, it makes more sense to devote Saturday to it, and then move to the market on Sunday. We'll see what happens today.
