Interesting point, but US GDP is an annual measure, while US market cap reflects all the growth all the way back to whenever, 19th century for railroads, Standard Oil, and AT&T, maybe 18th century for some banks? I suppose someone somewhere has charted the two numbers, but I accidentally erased all my bookmarks and am in a very bad mood. I bet Magner can find it.
