An excellent summary, Neo, that illustrates just how complex the problem is, how long it has been with us, and how both parties contributed to it.
I am bemused by the determination of some to ignore reality in order to cling onto preconceived beliefs.

By the way-- AS used a wonderful phrase last night to "verify" something he said. I thought it was most creative and it is sending me off into this day with a smile...

Thanks for that, Neocon. Adds to what I found last night...and should add to everyones' knowledge base...(those that read it that is). So it goes back to Jack Kennedy....40 years later, look what we have (or don't as the case may be). It is a difficult situation, and really should be examined by professionals at every level....with politicians ON BOTH SIDES of the aisle in on the discussions.
