Alsaud, Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal , 43 , inherited and growing Claim to fame: Enthusiastic and prodigious investor in mostly U.S. worht 20 billion

I feel for him this morning caught in money and moral world.

The mid east is a very dangerous spot and holy wars are holy hell for which no man takes blame. Such a difficult position as all are entitled to stupidity in the name of their gods.

I wonder Rarebird how employment needs are met when jobs need to be filled and rent and housing are way above ability of the corporate profit line. Then question becomes do you bring in labor which might be less costly? Does the answer become you loose in the long run due to time needed to train or teach. You move your offices elsewhere to where housing is within reach. Is there a shortage of housing in the Boston Area?

Something has to give the dot coms have. Yet ease in employment is not yet visible.

I'm really somewhat perplexed by what is going on with the gold stocks. Are they discounting a dollar index of 125-135? Are they discounting a drop in the POG below the summer 99 low?

The decline every single day to new lows doesn't make any sense to me on a fundamental basis unless something major is about to happen, like an equity crash.

PDG hit a new low today. I'm going to read PDG's earnings release very carefully this evening to find out why.

What's going on here? And please, Richard, don't tell me you know what.
