Please explain to me why so few Americans vote? And given so few vote, don't you think it's therefore easier for candidates of either party to win reelection? The fact you've got a low voter turnout means you can concentrate your resources more effectively.

Why, for example, until only recently, why have voter registration laws traditionally been so stringent and unfair to working people who need to take time off to both register and vote? It's a lot more difficult for someone living on week to week wages than it is for someone living on a yearly salary to take time off from work.

Fortunately, of late, in many states, there have been improvements in the voter registration process.

Lastly, why do you think John McCain got so much mileage from the campaign reform issue? 'Cause it went to the heart of the matter. The Big Money gets used to manipulate a small voting base.
