Several good posts on the 'ongoing debate' of Cisco versus Nortel going on in the NT thread. Pro Cisco - primary point being that Cisco and Nortel are competitors because Cisco moved into Nortel's space.. when NT moved into CSCO's space it didn't phase CSCO at all (of course CSCO is not phasing NT at all in the fiber optic space either at this point...) Message 14643689 Pro NT - primary point that NT has a huge advantage over CSCO in the fiber optic space as CSCO's products and skill set (or lack of it) pretty much requires companies to completely replace their equipment. NT's products and expertise doesn't require telco's to do that. Message 14646405
