RE:"You don't think AMD will be able to announce 1.6GHz until June? Given, I mean, that they've promised to announce 1.5GHz in January?"

Not being a chip designer, I don't know the scaling ability of Mustang. I can go by the fact that P4 being a new design and K7 having already scaled a great distance on .18u that P4 probably has more headroom from point of release. I'll also take Scumbrias opinion on the scalability of P4 being greater than K7. I wish he would show up(or Kap) and explain this relative to his suggestion that the P4 has clock limitations due to it's alu.
OTOH, 12.5 x 133 = 1667 MHz and 12.5 x 150 = 1875 Mhz should AMD somehow get a chipset to work at that.
These would probably blow away a 2000 Mhz P4...but...you can bet Mhz will increasingly be included in Intel press release hype.
OTOH, I shudder to think what this is going to do to the poor P3...We've never had a situation when a companys' flagship runs at twice it's mainstream chip.
