Yes. It does sound weird. If the they are shipping boxed solutions the price should include 128MB in the form of 2 DIMMs.

Checked into Register's claims about P4. P4 will arrive at Tech Data on Nov 15 in less than 50 unit quantity. If P4 is anything like Camino, Nov 15 is not a firm date and could actually be months off. There are no delivery dates for Garibaldi motherboards needed for those chips. I am in no rush to update P4 status before Nov 15 because it looks like Intel is depending on 815e solutions with flip chip PIII chips for the X-mas selling season. P4 will not really ramp until 2001 since Intel has not wavered from those projections 1 iota. I will check with a Gigabyte distributor in a few days for any possibility for 3rd party motherboards for P4 this year.
