the point wasn't that they wouldn't let it go under 50 - the point was that GSCO was buying knowing that Abbey was going to soothe the market the next day - i'm sure GSCO ans their customers have sold most by now

What was so ironic about this day was it was the Thursday that we all woke up to tensions in the ME. The DOW was down 400, the Naz was tanking. But here Monty and I noticed Goldman buying millions of shares of CSCO.

Kind of odd that they would be loading up on CSCO when the markets were in turmoil, it was just before the weekend, no one knew how serious the tensions were in the ME.

Do you think the trading desk got a heads up that Abby would be wheeled out the next day? -ggg-
