Short term, take your chances and bet on any. Long term look the companies in the winning proposition GSM-WCDMA camp - but watch out financing in 3G deals. E N S A (ok so I´m EU biased, but think about the weak Euro factor)

No one especially not my friend Diamondhead is going to like this, but stay away from CDMA2000. Its metamorphosis to betamax is increasingly apparent. Look at Korea, the govt. has to squeeze the collective balls of the operators pretty hard - and they still don´t want to buy it.
