Opinions?...

My opinion is I wish I would have read this a year ago. Good articles with material that I haven't seen elsewhere and are solidifying my style of tape reading which I'm practicing on paper for now. (how's that for a run on sentence)

You're reading my mail!

This was my Lesson Of The Week: I don't have to make money today.

In the past, I have sometimes thought that I could do better if I had more patience. I realized last week, though, that I do not lack patience. Rather, I learned that I can benefit by a slight change of perspective. I have decided to start every trading day with the following affirmation:

I don't have to make money today.

Often, I have found myself beginning my trading day with the feeling that I must make some good money today, which in turn makes me anxious and impatient. Telling myself to be more patient does not work when the underlying urgent premise of having to make money this day is still in force.

So now I am prepared each day for the possibility that I will make no money today. I happily accept this possibility, every day. Exercising the better part of valor, I live to profit another day! :-)

ig

Vadym..interesting post. Ambushes take time, which is why I postion-trade the expensive stocks (using TA mostly to indentify a "continuation") ..while I tend to day-trade the cheaper stocks ($2-$20) for quick profits...usually it depends on how much time I want to devote to watching the trade...'course I can be stopped out on a position trade while away from my computer, but that's part of the game ...(can still play tennis and golf without frantic palpitations!)...

P.S. I'm a sponge for your continuing thoughts about intuitive trading...hope to see more of this fascinating subject from you... I wish I could say I relate, but at this point in my trading career, I only "think" I can relate <ggg> ..still, and always, a student of trading...
