Hi Reid, Thanks for the detailed answer. I really do appreciate it. That post is a keeper. A few more questions. Why do your prefer setting your MACD to 8-17-9? I notice Stockcharts automatically sets it to 12-26-9. What is the difference? Is your setting geared to a quicker time frame? Does this MACD setting gear closely to a stochastics setting of 15-5-5 or a faster setting of 5-3-3? Do you change these setting according to the time frame you are trading in (ie: day,hour,min).
