The bodies are on a sort of metal platform, kind of like a metal shelf on rollers that is shoved into the furnace, and the ashes fall on the platform. The platforms are cleaned off after every use.

Ice, I heard of one crematory service doing multiple cremations to save money& time without the families knowledge and then splitting the ashes randomly. Mike
