Neocon--you're right about Clinton's stimulus package, you're wrong about his 1993 budget. It was passed by one vote in both the House and the Senate, with not a single Republican vote in favor, and with the most incredible dire predictions from Bob Dole, Newt Gingrich, and other Republican worthies about the economy being strangled, unemployment going up, etc., etc., etc... I don't make the argument that the excellent economy is ALL due to that, but it has had a lot to do with it, as well as the 1990 Bush budget that also helped end the red-ink of the Reagan years...
