I don't think retailers buying those big blocks will be watching CNBC for direction. You normally see lot of 100s and 200s on a CNBC pump/dump. If MFs dumping large blocks, (tax loss selling), then MMs are picking them up to sell later for higher price. MMs are aware of the number of buy orders and sell orders which the joe publics don't.
