OT: Re: Sony Playstation2

You can have your Playstation2. I have decided to wait till next Fall 2001 when the Microsoft XBox debuts. The XBox specs completely obliterates the Sony PS2, and hundreds of game developers have jumped on board Xbox.

I have a feeling Sony's death-grip on the home console wars is going to be defeated by Microsoft. From what I understand, the Sony PS2 is a nightmare to write games for, and does not have a hard drive and built-in ethernet like Xbox does. Game developers are already leaving PS2 to dedicate their efforts to writing for Xbox.

The fact that the Xbox also plays DVD-movies (hopefully the spec will be upgraded to play DVD-Audio discs too) is a major plus.
