Kumar.. LU looked 'good' until about a year ago too. I think a year is enough time to begin to see trends developing. In high tech if you don't see the 'trend' you can be a star one year and out of business the next. I just see Cisco's primary product (routers) as aging main street. I don't know of any other products that are tornado.

Nothing against Cisco believe me! I had the same concerns about Siebel last year. I saw CRM moving to main street within the next couple of years. What got me excited again about them was their move into e-CRM and the government sector. Presto! New tornados ahead! I bought more.

Same with NT. I never would have been interested in Nortel if they hadn't moved strongly into the fiber optic realm and begin to take over from LU.

Moving into tornado's is the key. I keep asking myself. Where is Cisco's tornado? 20-30-40-50 months ago Cisco WAS in a tornado called routers. Not any more. My concern for Cisco is not the company, it's great. Certainly NOT Chambers - he is the best.

But when they missed the boat on fiber optics.. I kept asking myself. What tornado is Cisco in? High end routers? Then I saw JNPR catching up fast in that market. I don't know enough about switches to comment on that market segment.
