Hi eBill - you ve brought up a good point, it could even be illegal to book phantom rev :)! Personally, I simply don't like this kind of shelanigan. It is not really NT fault if the analysts want to make themselves look good by hyping or trashing the company. Why, if NT were responsible to make short term good, she could dough out lucrative debt instrument to some investment banks so the latter could hype the stock [have you had Boston Chicken lately :)?!]

More, this kind of action is very unfair to LT investors.

Sure, NT hurts me bad today, but I certainly do not want NT to sacrifice any corporate ethics on my account, literally :)!
