Unless an institution or VERY large player is reading our thread, I really doubt that any of our moving posts could really be affected by a lurking short....

When a stock is taking a hit, there are huge amounts of the stock trading hands...Institutions shorting hundreds of thousands of shares. Some guy who reads the thread and shorts a few thousand most likely would have a very small effect on the stock, in my opinion - unless it has an incredibly small float. And if the stock is really moving, you can also be sure it's not this thread - or any other on SI that's really moving it.

just my opinion...

So maybe we should post "keep an eye on" or "you might want to look at" rather than XXX flying here <g> or not use the word alert...but that''s what I like! I haven't been able to follow the thread all day the last 2 days as I'm swamped with work. So the alerts and the oneliners were great - as I could just look at the threads main page and read the first lines...

I think the title of our thread attracts attention, that's was something I said weeks ago - short and long. We wouldn't have longs without shorts, its keeps the balance in stock trading land. And often there are longs and shorts on the same stocks - on the same thread, we still get along.

Small Fry shorts BEAS when I'm long all the time <g>

I have seen that on more then one thread, saw a prime example Yesterday. And it is a reason that some good traders are MIA on SI now. A code is a defense as long as those that have it are team players, getting tougher to make a living for Your family doing this now w/o this added obstacle. Hey You get Our number?
