well, I have seen proof positive of this and believe it to be true as well ... but what to do about it? Close our thread? Change it's positioning to buy & hold from "movers"?? ...trade on our own if it's not working the way we had hoped?

....wonder how many people are profiting from going against our trades, or just following them without contributing? ...better to have tried and failed than not to have tried?

Seriously? That's really interesting. I guess they have to fight back against small traders using level II. I don't see why they would need to develop software though...
No one in a chatroom is buying a million shares though it's hard to believe we would have that much of an effect. And you can see all the movers on the Qcharts scans as well as other available programs, real time volume scans, or just search all of SI for that ticker. Sounds like they are paranoid and quaking in their boots - the power of the small trader is growing.
