According to CNBC ( who apparently can get connected to the CC) JDSU CEO says LU and NT problems are not hurting JDSU. Daily sales outstanding are actually down this quarter. 2001 earnings estimate 80 cents.
Is this selective admission to the conference call a violation of the new SEC rules on equal access?

It'll be fun watching the shorts scrambling tomorrow.

No doubt short position increased substantially last few days as some funds sold into the weakness and shorters took advantage of this situation to "put a stake in the heart of the last tulips." Seems a bit premature now, but who knows? Some of that short money won't cover any time soon as they truly believe the "optical bubble" is still about to burst. Some will cover and volume may continue to be quite nice next few days. I fully expect a battle tomorrow as shorts test the mettle of jittery longs. They should realize, however, that most of those longs didn't sell at 62...so why would they sell now? jmho

I agree....the after hours market is nothing more than people scrambling to cover shorts in companies like JDSU. A lot of people bet that whatever JDSU did, it wouldn't be good enough.....and they were wrong. Tomorrow should be fun.... :)
