Larry,

A few points in rebuttle...

I won't argue any "technical" aspects of Lexar's trading yesterday, but it did trade as low as $5 3/4 following earnings, down from a high of $9 in early trading.

I also doubt that the Lexar photo finishing/printing site services will be offered as a "freebie" as you suggest. They do have a photo browser they will make available for free and a "how to" site that is open without membership charges.

I still stand behind my claim that Lexar Media has no expertise in flash memory manufacture. Their expertise is in the controller technology.

I still believe Riemer is a "loose cannon" and you are free to make your own value judgement. Look at how much time he spent discussing the legal situation with SanDisk during the earnings report and compare that with Eli's comments during the SanDisk c.c. At the same time consider Eli's general feelings toward discussing ongoing litigation.

No matter how you slice it Lexar Media has still not reached profitability.

I, too, look forward to the upcoming litigation and plan to send away for transcripts of Mr. Frank's CFA deposition which should be public documents. Is Riemer insular in his assessment of SanDisk's behavior as a CFA member or does he reflect the sentiment of the membership at large? I think that question remains unanswered. I am giving Eli the benefit of the doubt at this stage. It is more a credibility issue than anything else.

I had a few questions for you in return...

Do you know when Mr. Reimer joined the CFA and in what capacity? Who was he working for? When did Lexar Media join the CFA and who was managing the company at the time?

Best to you,

Aus

A very old news story.

"We strongly believe that Lexar Media has not infringed upon any SanDisk patent,"
said John Reimer, president and chief executive of Lexar Media
