I would guess that the "lock-box" concept comes from the same place that the "compassionate conservative" concept comes from. Or "reformer with results", or whatever the slogan of the month that Bush is trying to sell. I'm no expert on lock-boxes, but maybe you can explain the magic trillion dollars that Bush is trying to use twice? Maybe hidden away in that lock-box? Which is it? He raiding Social security benefits, or raiding the surplus, a.k.a. "spending"?

Cummings and Goings: You said, "Flapjack stammered, coughed, obfuscated and complained about the question being asked, but never actually attempted an answer."

Another lie from you, Pinocchio. Your nose just grew another inch. Actually I did none of the above. On several occasions I have explained the "lock box" concept. (Please note that it is different from your candidate's "luck box.")

Think of Al's "lock box" as a treasure chest. (Think of "Peter Pan," but think in figurative terms, not literal terms, which is very, very hard for Republicans to do.) Every day hard-working Americans send some of their pay to the "lock box" in Washington, D.C., so that when they turn 62 or 65, they can, in turn, receive Social Security money back from this treasure chest, or "lock box," so they are semi-protected in their old age. Note that I said semi-protected.

Al Gore as President would have the key to this "lock box." Every so often, cut-taxes-and-spend Republican congressmen (think of Captain Hook and his gang of thieves) would try to take money out of the "lock box" to pay for pork-barrel projects or to finance a massive tax cut for the ultra-rich. But since Al Gore would have the key, Captain Hook and his gang of thieves would go back to Capitol Hill empty-handed.

I hope this explains it for you. I tried to keep it as simple as possible so even you could understand.

Have a nice evening.
