This from today's rap by Fleck:

Money center banks have evolved into junk bond/emerging market/venture capital funds with huge overheads run by idiots who think they're 11 feet tall, bulletproof and invisible. The too-big-to-fail doctrine will soon be tested and folks will be surprised how big a bank can be and still fail.

These dopes were warned by the Fed post LTCM to reign in their risk-taking and start asking skill-testing questions of potential borrowers. They have not done so. Every report from the Fed and the controller of the currency has strongly suggested they continue to ignore prudent provisioning for risk. The day is fast approaching when one or more of them will pay the ultimate price for hubris.
